BNPP poses not only environmental danger, but economic too

There was nary a noise in yesterday’s celebration of the 1986 historic EDSA event but proponents of Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) revival in Congress were too busy debating about the budget to be allocated in reviving the BNPP.

BNPP proponents Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago and Rep. Mark Cojuangco in the House of Representatives cited the soaring world crude prices, coal and the issue on global warming, as grounds for pushing the reopening and running the controversial nuclear plant. Click here to read more
